SYWELL MAIN STREET SP8267 (South side) 15/304 Cross approx. 25m. E of Church of St. Peter and St. Paul
GV II
Cross. Probably C15, restored 1897. Limestone and granite ashlar. Original square socket and shaft surmounted on C19 plinth of 2 steps. Shaft has C19 Iona cross with dates 1837 and 1897 to each face. Inscription on plinth, "Restored in commemoration of the 60th year of the reign of Queen Victoria".
