WAPPENHAM RECTORY WAY SP6245 (South side) 11/103 The Old Rectory 06/07/72 (Formerly listed as The Rectory)
GV II
Former rectory, now house. Built 1833 by George Gilbert Scott for his father. Red brick, hipped slate roof, brick lateral stacks. Double-depth plan. 2-storey, 3-window range. Central 8-panel door with overlight panelled reveals, flanked by fluted half pillars, supporting frieze and cornice with recent enrichments. 12-pane sash windows throughout with gauged brick linteis and painted stone sills. Lower 2-storey one-window range to left. Interior not inspected. (Buildings of England: Northamptonshire, p.442).
