BRINKBURN B 6344 NU 00 SE (North side, off) 4/66 South part of west farmbuilding range at Healey II
Barn, pigsty/henhouse and gingang. Early C19 except for mid-C19 gingang. Squared rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins,except for rock-faced gingang; Welsh slate roofs. Barn with gingang on west side and pigsty/henhouse to south.
East elevation: Barn, partly behind C20 covered yard, shows doorway in chamfered alternating-block surround with slit vent to left and part-slatted window to right. Lower pigsty/henhouse to left has pent extension, produced by roofing over twin exercise yards, with 2 boarded doors; original sty entrances within have monolith segmental-arched lintels, and part-slatted window above. Coped gables. Left return shows external stone stair to boarded door in chamfered alternating-block surround.
West elevation: Barn shows boarded door in chamfered alternating-block surround, and slit vent to right of circular gingang with 5 double-stepped piers and conical roof. Pigsty/henhouse to right shows henhole above chamfered stone shelf.
Interior. Gingang shows massive cross beam on larger north and south piers; separate roof structure has radial tie beams to central post with struts to principals, and 2 levels of curved purlins. Henhouse above pigsty is lined with stone nesting boxes.
