Details
LONGHIRST LONGHIRST HALL NZ 2289 10/25 Bridge, drive walls and gate piers on north approach to Hall GV II Bridge, drive walls and gate piers, early C19. Tooled-and-margined stone. Many-stepped walls, with gabled coping, flank approach to Hall, forming parapets of bridge with semicircular arch and arch ring. At west end of drive plain piers flank lane continuing west; and square piers with pyramidal caps, holding late C19 ornamental wooden gate, flank Hall entrance on south. To east, north wall terminates in square pier with pyramidal cap; south wall not of interest beyond later entry to Hall gardens.
