2. Dated 1845. Tudor Gothic villa. Ashlar. 2 storeys. North (entrance) front: 3 windows 1st floor, 2 + 1 windows ground floor. Gable off centre to left, gabled porch off centre to right. Sash windows with glazing bars. Label over left hand window. 4 centre arch headed doorway with 12 panel studded doors and studded glazing bars in segmental light above. Panel over with datestone "G.H." over "1845". Kneelers to gables and verges. South front: Three 2 storey bay windows, reputedly by Dobson of Newcastle, with 4, 5 and 4 light mullioned casement windows, with transoms on ground floor; parapets over. Glazed door with label mould. East front: 3 gables with finials. Label moulds to windows of left hand gable. 6 light 2 storey bay to centre gable and 4 light oriel, exiguously crenellated to right hand gable. Interior: at least 2 fine fireplaces: Gothic with blind tracery reveals in hall, Tudor arched in central east room on ground floor.
