Details
MITFORD MITFORD STEADS NZ 18 SE 4/37 Mitford Steads Farmhouse 20.10.69 GV II House, early C19, perhaps incorporating earlier fabric. Squared tooled stone with tooled-and-margined lintels. Mixed purple and blue slate roof; right stack partly brick. South elevation 2 storeys, 3 bays, slightly irregular. Left-of-centre projecting porch with renewed door and moulded gable coping; 12-pane sash windows. Hipped roof with 2 ridge stacks, the left stepped-and- corniced, the right rebuilt on old base. 2-bay left return with blind windows on left. Rear elevation shows projecting porch with small barred window under coped gable with moulded kneelers, and boarded door on left return.
