GV II
Gate lodge, gatepiers and railings. Early C19 with C18 fabric incorporated in lodge. Lodge part coursed rubble, part tooled-and-margined stone; Welsh slate roof with 1 brick chimney. Ashlar piers, cast iron railings. Lodge of irregular trapezoidal plan with south wall aligned to angled drive.
West elevation: Single-storey lodge of 2 wide bays; left bay, part of older building, has boarded door in chamfered surround and C20 windows with blocked slit vents over. Recessed right bay, with overhanging eaves, has boarded door, 4-pane sash and lateral stack. Roof hipped to right, with C20 ridge stack. Right return shows paired 8-pane sashes; 3 renewed 12-pane sashes to rear.
Gateway to right of lodge has rusticated ashlar piers with moulded caps carrying banded ball finials on swept bases. C19 wooden gate. To far right dwarf wall, with chamfered coping, carrying heavy spearhead railings with loop-topped finials, extending 30 metres to stone pier.
