Circa 1829 by James Burton. Originally the subscription rooms. In the form of
a temple of the Doric order with portico with 4 giant fluted Doric columns with
entablature with-pediment. On either side later C19 projecting lower 2-storey
wings with curved corners, rusticated stucco and parapet. On each side are one
storey aisles with cornice and parapet and with 7 sash windows with glazing bars
in shouldered moulded architaves with keyblocks. The entablature continues around
the main 'temple' with pediment and 4 giant fluted engaged columns on the north
end. AM.
