A pair of houses mid to late C18
Exterior: House pair, plastered on plastered plinth with plain tiled roof. End stack to left with two stacks behind ridge. Three flat-headed dormers, that to left with sliding sash windows, the two in the centre and to right C20 with metal casements. Two storeys and attics, six front windows, with five glazing bar sashes arranged regularly about the right-hand door. Entrance to no. 12-14 to right with Doric columns in antis to recessed door, half-glazed, with half-glazed wooden side panels. Door to no. 16 to left half-glazed in recessed entrance with chamfered corners.

REASONS FOR DESIGNATION: Nos. 12-14 & 16 Lansdown Place, Lewes are designated for the following principal reason:
* Architectural interest: a good example of mid to late C18 town houses.
