GV II

House pair, now with office to left. Mid C18 with early C19 alterations. Caen stone, partly brought to courses and partly snecked, with rendered second floor. Wooden modillion cornice over first floor and cill band to second floor. Moulded cornice and parapet to plain tiled roof with end stacks, single stack on ridge to right and 2 segment-headed dormers to left. Shallow central projection with tall modillioned pediment. rising from first-floor cornice into attic storey. 3 storeys; regular fenestration with no window in centre of second floor. Glazing bar sashes in open boxes, wider in outer bays on second floor, tripartite in centre of first floor and tripartite in 2-storey shallow bays on outer bays on first and ground floors. 2 arched entrances, either side of centre, with panelled doors, cast-iron fanlights and panelled reveals. Columned surrounds with full entablatures and segmental pediments.
