GV II
House. C16 to rear, C17 to front, altered and reclad in C18 and C19. Timber framed, exposed to rear left, with brick infilling over brick underbuild. Puddingstone block end wall to rear, galleted sandstone block with brick angle quoins and dressings to front gable, sandstone rubble and brick cladding to front right and rear. Plain tiled roofs, hipped to right. T-shaped plan with gable to left. Two storeys over basement plinth to left, the ground sloping up to right. C19 attic casement window in gable. Two cambered-head first floor and ground floor windows, with the arches picked out in red and blue brick. Two square windows to cellar. One window on each floor to right with blocked up windows and very patched cladding. Rebuilt corbelled stack to centre of front at junction of the two ranges. Pentice extension to left on sandstone plinth with further window and hip roofed porch to right with arched entrance. Left hand return front - Two framed bays on lower range to left, tension bracing exposed on first floor. Two first floor and one ground floor window, and end stack to left. Rear - slate roofed pentice to left with two windows on each floor. Interior - frame exposed, especially on ceilings. Bread oven to kitchen fireplace.
