6/73 The Causey 9/3/60 II

House. Late C16 with C18 alterations and C19 and C20 extensions to ends. Timber framed, clad in brick below, tile hung above, frame exposed to ground floor right under tile hung first floor with lower courses of tiles swept out over ground floor. Plain tiled roofs with tile hung gable ends. L-shaped plan with wing projecting to left. Two storeys, massive multiple, corbelled stack to right of centre, further stacks on left hand return front of cross wing. Three leaded casement windows to centre of first floor, one window on ground floor. One leaded casement on first floor of right hand gable, one 12-pane glazing bar sash window below with shutters. One 3-light leaded casement to gable end, first floor of projecting wing, two windows below. Further window in pentice to left end. C18 door of 6 panels to lobby entry to right of centre under flat hood.
