GODALMING MARSHAL ROAD SU 9744 NW (east side) 8/152 Nos 29 and 30 (Marshall House) - II

Pair of attached houses. Mid C19, no 30 with late C19 bay-window addition. Red brick in Flemish bond, no 30 painted; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys; each house of symmetrical bays but the symmetry of no 30 spoilt by addition of 2-storey bay window on left. Central 4-panel doors with overlights in reveals. Sashes with glazing bars in reveals with cambered flat brick arches and projecting sills; no 30's bay window having paired 4-pane sashes with 2-pane sashes to sides, cornices and hipped roof. Hipped roof to whole range with corniced stacks, 2 to ridge flanking centre, and one in each hip, no 30's stacks rendered. Rear: leaded casement windows of 1 or 2 lights under segmental brick arches.
