GV II
Planned farmbuildings. Early C19 incorporating C18 barn in west range, with later C19 cowsheds to rear of north range. Rubble with cut quoins and dressings; cast-iron columns in cowshed; Welsh slate roofs. Ranges around rectangular yard, partly open to east; attached mill to rear of west range.
South range 1 storey, 9 bays; adjoining farmhouse (q.v.) on left. 3 boarded doors in alternating-block surrounds, boarded double doors to far left; part- slatted windows. West range 2 storeys, 6 bays; boarded doors and segmental- arched cart entrance, in C18 chamfered surrounds; some C19 windows, 2 tiers of slit vents, mostly blocked. North range 2 storeys, 8 bays; segmental arches, some blocked, except for wagon entrance with timber lintel; part- slatted windows. East range 2 storeys, 3 bays; boarded door flanked by blocked windows, part-slatted window above. Hipped roofs to 2-storey ranges.
Rear elevation of west range shows projecting gabled mill, with external stone stair to loft door in alternating-block surround; right return shows boarded door in similar surround and low opening to former wheelpit; left return shows part-slatted window and later window, in rebated opening, to wheelpit. Rear elevation of north range shows external stone stair to boarded door in alternating-block surround and part-slatted windows: to right attached cowshed; opposed 7-bay sheds with columns shaped to take boarding in front of and between stalls,set on chamfered plinth. Pent roofs. Tall coped roadside wall at rear of north part and attached contemporary outbuilding with hipped roof, to north west.
Rear elevation of east range shows boarded double doors under segmental arch: left return shows 1st floor sash window in old chamfered surround.
