9/14 Catreen Farmhouse, outbuildings and wall
II
Farmhouse and farmbuildings. Early C19. Dressed stone and Welsh slate roof. 3 ranges around farmyard.
West range has 2-storey farmhouse on left. 3 bays with central 4-panelled door in plain surround. Windows are 16-pane sashes. Gabled roof with flat coping, kneelers and 2 stone corniced end stacks. Single-storey cartshed to right with double entry and ½-slatted window.
North range is 2-storey byre with granary over. 2 segmental arches to byres. Plank pitching door above in chamfered alternating-block surround; also ventilation slits and one ½-slatted window.
East range is single-storey byres and stable. Two plank doors in chamfered alternating-block surrounds. Ventilation slits.
Slightly later building attached to rear of north range is 2-storey cartshed with store room above. 2 segmental arches. Two 4-pane windows on 1st floor and pitching door on left return have chamfered surrounds and shouldered lintels.
All farmbuildings have gabled roofs with flat copings.
4th side of farmyard has wall of roughly dressed stone with ridged coping,and gate piers.
