CAROLGATE 1. 5345 (West Side) Nos 22 and 24 SK 7081 SE 1/68 II GV 2. Including No 2 Coronation Street. Mid C18 house of 3 storeys in brick. Centre pediment. Centre breaks forward. Moulded eaves cornice. 5 windows with keystones and brick voussoirs, hung sashes with glazing bars, on 2 storeys. Late C19 shop front breaks forward. Pedimented doorway to side in stone and moulded surround. 2 storey extension to rear with 2 shop fronts and doorway. 5 windows.
Nos 16 to 24 (even), The Shambles and Nos 28 to 34 (even) form a group, of which Nos 16 to 20 (even), The Shambles and No 34 are buildings of local interest.
