MELKRIDGE A 69 (T) NY 76 SW (North side, off) High Town 16/53 Cottage on east bay of High Town House GV II
Cottage. Probably early and mid C19 of 2 builds. Coursed rubble and dressings, stone-flagged and Welsh slate roofs, stone and brick chimneys. Cottage projecting on right bay of High Town House (q.v.). 2 storeys on sloping site; 3 bays. Tooled-and-margined quoins at left. Taller left bay: replaced casements in raised surrounds; stone-flagged roof hipped at left; stone stack. 2 bays at right: similar fenestration and C20 doorway; Welsh slate roof; rebuilt brick chimney at right. C19 outshut on left rear. Late C20 addition on right rear not of special interest. Included for group value.
