4/15 Whinleys Farm House
II
Farmhouse. Early C18 and C19. Brick with pantile roof. Plinth, partly rendered, first and second floor bands, cogged eaves, tumbled coped gables, 4 gable stacks. 3 storeys, 3 bays, L-plan. All front windows are C19 plain sashes. Main west front has central flat roofed latticed timber porch containing panelled door with geometrical overlight. Flanked by single windows with segmental heads. Above, 3 windows with rubbed brick segmental heads, and above again, 3 similar smaller windows. To left, C19 single bay lean-to addition has pantile roof and to left, external corner stack. To its right, a single light and round headed doorway. North gable has, above, a small glazing bar sash. Each gable has, above again, 2 blocked openings with segmental heads. C19 rear wing has to south a single casement and above, a Yorkshire sash, both with segmental heads, and above again, a small Yorkshire sash. North side has lean-to addition with single gable stack, and off-centre door, flanked to right by 2 casements, all with segmental heads. To left, single C20 casement. East gable has single casement to right and above, 2 small glazing bar lights.
