9/3 Carburton Lodges and gate piers. 30.11.66 (Formerly listed as Carburton Lodges and gateway Clumber Park.)
GV II
Pair of gate lodges and piers. 1789. Ashlar but brick to sides, slate roofs, single brick wall stacks. Piers to either side of the road are rectangular on plan and have plinth, blank semi-circular headed niches with above a square block with swept sides supporting 2 steps and a ball finial. Beyond, a single storey single bay lodge to either side with a plinth and moulded fluted pediments in the centre of each is a wide blank semi-circular headed archway containing a single glazing bar sash in plain stone surround. To either. side are lower pent blank units with outlined half gables. Rear matches front but at the tops of the gate piers are armorial cartouches bearing the date 1789.
