4/10 Jubilee School
G.V. II
School, now village hall. Dated 1850. Yellow brick with projecting quoins and ashlar dressings. Slate roof projecting over the eaves, having gable end to lane with decorative barge boarding and finial. Single storey, 3 bays. The central gabled porch with plain barge boarding and finial has ashlar imposts, arch and keystone. The arch bears the inscription "Jubilee School" with the date "1850" in the keystone. The sides of the porch have been blocked in with glass panes over wooden panels, there is a C20 door. To either side is a single blank recessed arch with ashlar imposts, keystone and string course. Above the porch is a central casement window with glazing bars and fanned segmental head, having ashlar imposts and keystone. There are similar casements and surrounds to the west and east, with a later brick outshut and single storey extension to the rear. Included for group value only.
