CHURCH STREET SK7053 1919-0/11/25 (North East side) 11/08/61 No.13 Sunville and adjoining garden walls

GV II

House and adjoining garden walls. Built c1796 by William Revill, joiner. Raised and with rear additions early C19. Brick with stone dressings and hipped slate roof. 2 side wall, single rear wall and single ridge stacks. Painted flat arches to front openings. 3 storey, 3 window range with plain sashes with louvred shutters. Above, 3 smaller glazing bar sashes. Central flat roofed wooden lattice porch covering a 6-panel door with fanlight, flanked by single plain sashes with louvred shutters. East side has an off-centre glazing bar sash with segmental head on each floor. Set back rear wing has mainly glazing bar sashes and an off-centre door. Brick garden walls have half round brick coping and square piers with stone caps. Section in front of house renewed mid C20. (Norman Summers: A Prospect of Southwell: London: 1974-: 76-78).
