Details
SP4528 DUNS TEW 9/250 Daisy Hill Farmhouse
GV II Farmhouse. Mainly early C18, possibly with earlier origins. Mixed limestone and marlstone rubble with some squared marlstone dressings and some wooden lintels; Stonesfield-slate roof with ashlar and brick ridge stacks. 2-unit plan extended to L plan. 2 storeys plus attic. Entrance front has a 6-panel door to left of centre below a tiled canopy; to left is a 3-light casement and at first floor a taller renewed casement under a marlstone flat arch. Right bay has an altered window. Steep-pitched roof has a gable parapet to right, and has a twin-shafted ashlar stack, with moulded base and cap, aligned to right of the entrance. Later rear wing, returning from left, has irregular casements all with wooden lintels, plus a C20 oriel window. Interior not inspected.
