EPWELL SP 3540 12/23 Manor Farm, service block approx. 10m NE of farmhouse GV II Dairy, washhouse and bakery. C16/C17 with roof raised in C18. Coursed ironstone rubble. 2-unit plan. Single storey plus attic. Corrugated-iron roof. Brick end stack. Stone coped gables. Doorway has a 4-centred head with semi-circular arched dripmould. Plank door. To left of door are 2 small rectangular windows with chamfered stone surround. Left end has exterior stone steps to loft. Interior. 4-bay Queen Strut roof. Large and wide fireplace with chamfered bressumer has housing for copper and 2 large bread ovens. Plank door in moulded wood frame to dairy. 3-light wood mullioned windows, stop-chamfered beam and stone flag floor. (Buildings of England: Oxfordshire: 1974, p595)
