BANBURY WYKHAM LANE SP43NE (North side) Wykham 4/6 Wykham Farmhouse 08/07/75 - II

Farmhouse. Late C17/early C18 with later alterations. Finely jointed ironstone ashlar. Steeply pitched tile roof. Brick end stacks on stone bases. 3-unit plan plus single storev extension to right. 2 storeys plus attic. 3-window range. Off-centre entrance to left has panelled door with hood. Tall 3-light window with lead cames to left and similar 2-light windows to right of doorway. To far right a C20 window. First floor has two C20 windows, a small rectangular window and a tall 2-light window with lead cames. All windows have wood lintels. 3 gabled roof dormers. Rear has earlier C17 range with steeply pitched stone slate roof and 3-light wood-mullioned window. Extension to right: regular coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses. Brick end stack. 2- and 3-light C20 windows with wood lintels. Interior not inspected.
