Gate Piers and Red Brick and Flint wall to former Paradise House

2. Section of C18/C19 boundary wall to the former Paradise House (now demolished) 10' high flint wall with brick strips and capping, pierced by doorway with Gothic arch. At top of hill, the wall is lower - a series of concave arched sections between brick piers with heavy stone caps. The 2 gate piers have ball finials. This western part of wall has been rebuilt.
The raised pavement and wall forms part of a group with Nos 5 to 19 (odd) the South Oxfordshire Technical College Old School and Main Buildings, Nos 43 to 49 (odd) and the wall and gate piers to former Paradise House. Ancastle Cottage, Nos 2 to 36 (even) and the pavement surface in front of Nos 2 to 36 (even) opposite. Ancastle Cottage also forms a group with the entrance walls, piers and gates and the lower lodge of Friar Park.
