GV II

Substantial house. Late C16/early C17. Limestone rubble with squared quoins; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. T-plan, extended. 2 storeys plus attics. 5-window garden front was altered, probably in early C18, and has pairs of sashes flanking the blocked ramins of a stair window, 3 gabled roof dormers and stacks to centre and gables. C19 roughcast wing projects to left. Rear wing has present entrance to right with ovolo-moulded stone mullioned windows of 2 and 3 lights. To left is infilled by C19 range. Gables have moulded parapets scroll kneelers and obelisk finials. Interior not inspected but is likely to be of interest, and is noted as having Tudor fireplaces.
