GREAT MILTON CHURCH ROAD SP60SW (East side) 5/100 Harrington House
- II
House. Early C17 and early C18. Limestone rubble and timber lintels; old plain-tile roof and brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys plus attics. 2-window front has 5-light casement to right over a cellar window, an inserted bay window to left and 3-light casements at first floor with diamond mullions. Central stack and a late C19 stack to left serving a gabled tile-hung extension. Right gable wall has a 3-light casement in the gable, and side wall of early C18 rear wing contains a stair window and further old casements. Gable wall of wing has a large projecting stone stack. Interior: Open fireplace; heavy joists; beams with ogee chamfer stops; clasped-purl in roof with straight windbraces; winder stair to attics.
