SP 5702 GARSINGTON OXFORD ROAD (East side) 7/30 No.30 (The Old Kennels) 18/07/63 (Formerly listed as The Kennels with barn) - II
House, formerly attached to kennels. Late C17. Limestone ashlar banded with coursed rubble; plain-tile roof with brick stacks. 3-unit, baffle-entry plan. 2-storey plus attics. 9-panel studded oak door with single leaded-light over flanked by 3-light casements with 2-light hipped dormers. Openings have roll- mould to sides and head. Plinth and stone eaves-cove; gable parapets with scroll-kneelers and ball-finials (similar to the Manor) and ball finial to apex of right gable. Clustered brick ridge-stack and gable-stack to left. Interior not inspected. Formerly kennels for Christ Church College, Oxford. (V.C.H. 5, p.126; Buildings of England : Oxfordshire, p.612).
