Farmhouse, now house. Early C17 and mid C18. Coursed limestone rubble with
ashlar dressings and timber-framing with brick infill; plain-tile roof with
brick stacks. L-plan. One storey plus attics. The 3-unit range has ashlar
quoins, a flush storey-band and a stone eaves cove, with casements of 3, 2 and
3 lights under segmental stone arches. Door with C19 tiled hood on wooden
brackets to left of centre; two 3-light gabled dormers to centre and left of
roof. Stacks to right gable, ridge and a massive ridge-stack on rear-wing to
left. Gable of wing, above lintel-height, is timber-framed with brick infill,
and this part, now single-unit, probably formed part of an earlier house.
Interior: Through-passage continues to a door in the rear gable wall. Stair
has C18 turned balusters. Formerly a farm of Queens College, Oxford.
