LONGWORTH APPLETON ROAD (North side) SU39NE 3/139 Labernum Cottage - II

House. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble; stone slate roof; C20 tile to rear; brick stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Timber lintel over plank doors; early C20 hood with gabled stone slate roof. Timber lintels over early C20 three-light casements. Gabled roof; gable end stacks. One-light leaded casement to left gable wall and contemporary outshut to rear left. Interior: Room to right has full set of chamfered and stopped beams and joists, blocked open fireplace and C18 plank door with strap hinges to winder stairs adjoining stack. First floor has C19 plank and 4-panelled doors and original fireplace with moulded mantleshelf to left. 3-bay collar-truss roof with butt purlins. Attached to right is one storey brewhouse in similar materials with timber lintels over C20 casement and plank double doors and half-hipped roof. Interior has C19 coppers to left.
