Stables and coach house, now school building. Mid C18. Coursed limestone rubble;
hipped stone slate roof; stone end stacks. Central block, of 2-storey, 3-window
range, has 3 keyed semi-circular arches to central through-entry and flanking
blocked openings with similarly arched early C20 windows; keyed flat stone
arches over first-floor windows; hipped roof surmounted by domed bell cupola
with ball finial. Flanking wings of one-storey, 3-window range with similar
arched windows. Keyed semi-circular arched doorway links stables to coach house
on left, of similar materials: ashlar front has semi-circular arch with keyblock
and moulded imposts to double doors, and flat stone arch over loft door above;
similar arched doorway set in limestone rubble wall which extends approximately
10 metres to Cokethorpe School (q.v.). Interior not inspected.
