3/78 Culpits Farm House.

30/11/51 II

Farm house. Early to mid C17 rear, front pile C17 with mid C19 details. Red brick, black glazed pantiled roof. Front pile of 2 storeys and 3 bays. 2 ground and 3 first floor sashes with margin light glazing bars, under rubbed brick flat arches. Central brick and pantiled gabled porch with four centre rubbed Gothic arch. Part glazed door with margin lights, all these details mid-Cl9. Ground floor plinth, first floor platband, inserted gault brick dentil eaves cornice. Crow-stepped gabled parapeted, end-stacks and steeply pitched roof. North and south gables with 4 blocked fire windows. Rear wing south return with ground floor boarded door and one 2-light casement, first floor 2 casement cross windows with leaded lights. East gable with flint plinth with brick dressing, one casement to each floor with brick triangular pedimented heads: ground floor 3-light casement, first floor 3-light casement with leaded panes, attic 2 light cross window with leaded panes. Crow-stepped gable with stack. Set back crow-stepped gable of wing in angle, C19 details.
