7/45 Pudding Norton Hall
II
House. A perhaps mid C17 core with C18 and early C19 rebuildings. Earlier house contained within 3 storey front pile with 3 bay centre and single bay wings. c1800 rear pile of brick, 2 storeys. Front pile of brick with stucco refacing with some stone dressings of c1820. Black glazed pantiled roof. Ground floor end-bays with tripartite bow window sashes with glazing bars, with above Tuscan Doric entablature and parapet in stone. Recessed centre bays with glazed porch with 4 Tuscan Doric columns entablature and parapet in stone. Single sash with glazing bars either side with arched voussoirs in stucco. First and second floors with 5 sashes with glazing bars. At attic floor level stucco string course inscribed across the facade arranged over the end bays as arched voussoirs over the end bay first floor windows. Parapet with recessed steeply pitched roof. End stacks on north and south parapets, lower section of north end stack of C17 date with chamfered brick dressings. Interior, the ground floor centre with chamfered and stopped cross beams and perhaps reused panelling.
