II

Cottages, formerly in multiple occupation. Datestone 1859. Red brick with pantiles. Two storey with attics. Cruciform plant extended at west by C20 addition. Cottage with cross plant at west, north gable with 2 single light casement in chamfered wooden frames on either side of prominent stack, crow-stepped battlemented gable. To east at right angles another gable crow-stepped gable with Datestone and 5-light ground floor casement, tiled porch in angle. West return with two 3-light ground floor and 2 dormer windows. Cross windows, the upper leaded panes cut off by the barge board gables into triangles. Spine of cross-plan with 5 ground floor casements and 4 dormers. Brick dentil eaves cornice and 2 clustered diamond section stacks with bases and copings. West crow-stepped gable. Included for group value to village green.
