Details
BINHAM COCKTHORPE TF 94SE 7/30 Cockthorpe Hall II House, C16 and later. Flint, brick dress, red pantile roof. T plan, two storeys, much altered but with C16 or C17 evidence to each of its wings. Main entrance wing of 3 bays, late C19 canted two storey bow with ground and first floor windows; C19 casements with glazing bars under brick gothic drip moulds, blocked surrounds. Gabled porch. L return facade with evidence of earlier brick mullioned windows. Set back behind this pile and exposed at L, a wing with random fenestration. Simplified six panelled door, simple fanlight. Evidence of brick mullioned windows now built into wall. To N rear wing at right angles, gable with external stack bracketted out at first floor, octagonal stack, moulded details, probably C16 or early C17. Filled in gable windows; brick quoins, brick parapet. Return facade with filled in mullioned windovs. On axis with this gable in valley to S moulded brick stack, C17.
