11/52 The Grange 2.4.75 II

House. C18 (date of 1749 on sundial set in front wall). Flint and brick. Pantiled roof. Rectangular in plan with outshut to rear, enlarged C20 and with a second gable. Facade of 4 bays, 2 storeys, of flint. Door to second bay, the doorcase having fluted pilasters and fluted fascia. Double-leaved doors of 3 panels each; overlight with vertical g1azing bars. Masonry panel over with coat of arms and Tudor roses. Sashes with glazing bars; brick reveals. Blocked doorway between third and fourth bays. Upper floor openings have wooden lintels. Kneelered parapet gables with stone ball finials to the kneelers. 2 gable end stacks, that to right renewed; off-centre axial stack.
