12/12 The Rookery 20:2:52 - II
House (on O.S. map as Rookery House). Early C19. Brick and flint. Tile and pantile roofs. Irregular in plan. Facade of 5 bays, 2 storeys. Central bay, probably a late C19 addition, projects under a pediment with wooden dentils; glazed double doors with horizontal glazing bars and over light. Rubbed brick and Terracotta surround with consoles supporting a scrolled broken pediment. Side lights with horizontal glazing bars and horns. Brick quoins; platband. Terracotta shouldered architrave to first floor sash with glazing bars and horns. Tiled roof. Sashes with glazing bars to rest of facade. Gable-end stacks. Left hand gable wall of flint with datestone of 1603. Right hand gable wall of flint with brick plat- band. Rear parallel range not of special interest.
