TG 04 SE LETHERINGSETT WITH BAYFIELD GLANDFORD 3/79 Barns & attached stables & stocksheds at Bayfield Brecks
GV II
Two attached barns, 3 attached ranges of stables and stock sheds, 1799 and laid C19. 1799 barn to west of uncoursed flint with random bricks, brick dressings, fancy dentil cornice, pantiles, gable parapets. Six steads, large doors under segmental heads to 2nd and 4th steads, blocked brick ventilation slits, owl hole to west gable, 1 low window with cast iron glazing bars and segmental head; outshut to south. Interior: opposing arches to south, now blocked in outshut, roof dated 1799 on tie beam, king post and struts from collars, straight braces from eaves to collars. Attached barn to east, mid-late C19, brick and uncoursed flint with corrugated roof tiles. Aisled barn with lower roof pitch to aisles, king post roof, piers of cast iron; large doorway in east gable, large doorway with segmental head in east gable, segmental headed windows with cast iron glazing bars, now shuttered, one above door, one each side with similar smaller lower opening below at ground level. Three attached ranges to south, mid-late C19, corrugated tile roofs, range to east of brick with attached open sided stock shelter to west supported by cast iron piers, central range of uncoursed flint open sided to west with cast iron piers; west range of uncoursed flint, coach house to south, stables to north with original fittings, 2 windows under segmental heads with cast iron glazing bars.
