Pair of estate cottages. Circa mid C19, probably a remodelling and enlargement of a circa C18 range. Red brick, Flemish bond fronts and English bond gable ends and rear wall of Woodyard Cottage. Red clay pantile roofs with coped gable ends. Brick axial and gable end stacks with ornate moulded brick shafts.
Pair of attached 2-room plan cottages; the left (Estate Yard Cottage) with central entrance and gable end stacks; the right (Woodyard Cottage) with central axial stack and entrance on left. Both have C19 rear outshuts.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3:3 window south front with joint in brickwork at centre. Large C19 3-light casements on ground floor and smaller 2-light casements on first floor all with rendered hoodmoulds. Doorway at centre of left 3 bays with panelled and glazed door and plain tile hipped open porch on wooden posts with single light window above and small gable above that with shaped bargeboards, finial and pendant. Similar gable to 2-storey rendered porch on left of right hand cottage, round arches with pendants to front and sides of porch and glazed and panelled door. At rear main roof of west (right hand) cottage is carried down as catslide over outshuts with lower outshuts in angles to left and right.
