House. C17 and early C19. Gault brick, red brick and flint. Pantile roof and hipped slate roof. Irregular plan. 2 storey, 6 bay south facade. Central 2 bays project under pedimented gable with circular window. Doric porch with 2 pairs of columns. Semi-circular headed doorway. Top half of door glazed, blank below. Sash windows with glazing bars. Oversailing eaves having diamond-shaped detail to the soffits. To west a single bay, 2 storey extension of 1919 over boiler house. East face has one sash window with sill at ground level. To rear a projecting gabled wing, dated 1636 inside, of flint with brick dressings to windows, brick octagonal stack corbelled at first floor level. Round headed sash window with radiating glazing bars to first floor, also small sash under hood mould and 2 small attic windows also under hood moulds. Interior. Stone-flagged entrance hall with moulded plaster cornices. Rear hall with cantilevered stair, oak plain balusters and ramped and wreathed handrail. Stair well reveal with carved Vitruvian scroll, echoed in plaster cornice. Curved landing. Oval stair light with radiating glazing bars and swags on the reveal. 3 semi-circular openings with glazing bars to attic. Rear staircase in gabled wing with 1636 inset in wall. 0neb ovolo moulded beam in this wing.
