2. Late C17 origin with C13 brick front and C19 additions. Long brick range with brick front, cottages painted brick. Steeply pitched pantile roof with gable ends. Two storeys and attic. Netherton House five windows, first floor three-light casements, ground floor sashes with glazing bars, and good doorway with fluted pilasters and entablature with fluted frieze and dentilled cornice, rectangular fanlight with radial glazing bars and fielded panel door. Two gabled dormers. The Cottages: two windows, two-light casements, two doorways, one with fielded panel door, two gabled dormers. The Cottages and this part of Netherton House was once row of cottages when in C18 all but two of cottages converted into one house (Netherton House) and in mid C19 a wing was added on south end, grey brick, slate hipped roof with bracketed eaves, two storeys, one two-storeyed canted bay of sashes, left hand return six windows (two blind) sashes without glazing bars. Stuccoed chimney stacks with bracketed cornices. Including mid C19 gate-piers adjoining south, brick Mitt, flanking panelled wall. Interior of original part with stop-chamfered beams.
