GILLINGHAM CHURCH ROAD TM 49 SW 8/59 Stable Block approx 50m north of Gillingham Hall
GV II
Stables. Early C19 but incorporating some earlier fabric. Hipped roof of pantiles, C20 replacement tiles on front elevation. Two storeys. South front symmetrical of seven bays. Outer bays have double door openings under segmental brick arches; two stable doors with segmental head brick panels over door heads. Cross casement windows with leaded glazing. Two upper loading doors in outer bays. Lean-to with catslide roof on north side; ladder stair up to first floor level. Chimney stack on north side of ridge. Included for group value.
