GV II

Cottage. Circa 1600 and later. Rendered timber frame with returned brick and some flint gable-end. L plan formed by C18 service extension to rear. 2 storeys with former attic. Mid C19 symmetrical facade of 3 bays with 3 sash windows with vertical glazing bars and jalousie shutters. Central door with latticed porch. 3 C18 3-light windows to rear with metal casements. Gable-end stack flanked by 2 small windows (one blocked) with rectangular hood moulds. 2 bay frame with shorter service bay formerly with attic. 4- bay clasped purlin roof of high quality with wind bracing and raised tie to service partition truss. One surviving 4-light blocked diamond mullion window. Stepped chamfer stops.
