20.2.52 (formerly listed as Billockby
Hall and barns)
- II
Farmhouse. Circa 1600, altered mid C18 and late C20. Rendered and
colourwashed brick with roof of concrete tiles. East facade of 2 storeys and
dormer attic in 2 builds. Southern 2 bays constitute remains of c.1600 house:
brick plinth course, one renewed 3-light casement to ground and 2 similar to
first floors; smaller glazed light between upper windows. To north end of
facade is C18 addition : 2 C20 casements to ground and one to first floors.
Gabled bell-based roof with tall gabled dormer window. Quadruple flued c.1600
stack in centre of roof, once an external stack : square plinth and rebuilt
octagonal flues. South gable brickwork predominately English bond. Late C20
bowed window to ground floor and one C20 casement to first floor and attic.
North gable displays full brick tumbling and 3 C20 windows. To west is a late
C20 extension. Interior is of C20. A 4-centred fireplace remains in lounge
towards south end of main block.
