MARTHAM HALL ROAD TG 4517 (west side) 11/27 Old Hall Farmhouse 20.2.52 (formerly listed Martham Fall)

Farmhouse. Late C18, altered early C19. Brick with roof of black glazed pantiles. 2 storeys in 4 bays. Panelled door right of centre in panelled reveals and fluted Doric pilaster doorcase. Flat hood with guttae. Sash windows have glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. Timber modillion eaves cornice below gabled roof. Southern internal gable stack rebuilt. Partly external square northern gable stack. Tumbling in gable heads. C20 lean-to single storey outshut to south-west. Rear altered early C19 by addition of 2 storey outshut under catslide roof. Saw-toothed eaves cornice. Hipped stair turret emerges through outshut roof, the stairs lit through large sash window at first floor : glazing bars and segmental arch. Circular C20 window in turret attic. Remainder of fenestration to rear either C20 design or renewed.
