MAGDALEN STREET (east side)
Rear of No. 29.

House, disused at present. Possibly late C17 with later additions and altera-
tions. Flint and brick rubble with pantile roof. 2 storeys. Entrance contrived
in side through passage. Irregular fenestration including one horizontal window
with metal stay bars. Remains of C18 1st floor interior include fielded panel-
ling and wall cupboard with shouldered architrave. Partly rebuilt double butt-
purlin roof. The block is set back from and is parallel to the street line and
represents one variant in the siting of late medieval buildings in Norwich.
