TG 2308 NW AGRICULTURAL HALL PLAIN (South side) 16/7 5.6.72 Anglia House (formerly listed as Agricultural Hall) - II Former Agricultural Hall, now television studios and offices, 1882 by J.B. Pearse. Red brick with stucco detail. Two storeys plus semi-basement. 9 bays, centre 3 projecting. Central door with 5 steps up blocked by C20 glazing. Recessed casement windows at ground floor. All ground floor openings have rusticated semi-circular arches with key-stones in the shape of a man's head: fleur-de-lys above doorway. Casement windows at first floor with raised and moulded surround with flat hood and aprons: segmental arches above 3 central windows. Circular windows above first floor windows with scrolled surrounds. 4 fluted pilasters flanking the central bays and supporting pediment with ornate swags and Norwich arms and paired end pilasters. Dentil stringcourse between floors. Balustraded parapet.
