4/27 No. 31 (formerly listed 12-8-80 as Nos 31 and 32 Silvergate) GV II
Formerly a pair of estate cottages, now one house. C18 and C19. Red brick with steeply-pitched thatched roof. 1½ storeys, T-shaped plan. West range C18 with 2 and 3-light wooden casements with glazing bars and two boarded entrance doors in west wall, one opposite stack; segmental arches over openings. Central axial stack, rebuilt. South gable with tumbling-in and segmental apex to parapet. Platband at attic floor level, 2-light attic casement. North gable with tumbling-in to parapet; ground floor and attic casements. Rear range dated 1858 on east wall. Casements with iron lattice glazing, moulded brick dripmoulds over openings. Boarded entrance door between windows in north wall. Two attic gables with 2-light casements. T-shaped axial stack opposite entrance. South wall has attic dormer with wooden 2-light casement. Pantiled lean-to in south-east angle. Segmental- headed half-glazed door, diamond-shaped light above, under eaves line.
