House. c.1730, with mid C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble; front of
Flemish bond red brick, with limestone ashlar dressings and quoins, set on
limestone rubble plinth; stone-coped gabled stone slate roof; stone ashlar
symmetrical end stacks. Central-staircase plan. Early Georgian style. 2 storeys
and attic; symmetrical 5-window range. C18 six-panelled door set in wood
doorcase with bracketed segmental pediment. Mid C19 plate-glass sashes, set in
moulded stone architraves with keyed segmental-arched heads. Ashlar storey band
and raised chamfered quoin strips; moulded stone cornice and brick parapet; 3
gabled roof dormers, one to left retaining moulded cornice. Two-storey service
bay to rear, of limestone rubble with stone slate roof and brick end stack,
extended further to rear in mid C19 with added bay, outshut and C20 porch.
Interior not inspected but noted as having panelling with mid C18 fireplace in
room to left.
