Details
WOODSTOCK BROWN'S LANE SP4416NW (East side) 9/81 No.2 (Wishaw House) 13/02/69 (Formerly listed as No.2) GV II House. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled stone slate roof; rendered stone finished in brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 3-window range. Scrolled wrought-iron brackets with foliate spandrels, and flat stone arch, over early C19 beaded 6-panelled door. Mid C19 canted bay windows with glazing-bar sashes. Timber lintels over 6-pane sashes flanking blind window with moulded architrave on first floor. Roof dormers. Interior: cased beams; winder stairs to rear. House. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled concrete tile roof; brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Central late C19 four-panelled (2 glazed) door with C20 gabled hood. Timber lintels over C20 windows; gabled half-dormer with C20 window to left. C19 outshut and C20 gabled bay to rear. Interior: noted as having old beams. Included for group value.
